A New Chapter of
Mission in Kansas City

After more than a decade pastoring and helping to plant churches across Kansas City, Pete Kirwan and family are stepping into a new season of ministry.

Give Support

Beginning in 2026, Pete will serve full-time with KC Undergroundβ€”a network of disciple makers equipping ordinary people to flourish in their souls and family, spilling over into mission where they live, work, and play.

Pete’s calling in this next chapter is clear:

  • Care for microchurch leaders on the western edge of Kansas City.

  • Cultivate spiritual family rooted in the love of Jesus.

  • Foster a community of artists who create out of family identity in Christ, rather than isolation.

This vision is about families walking with Jesus, artists creating as family, and neighborhoods being transformed by the Good News.

Why This Matters

Kansas City is home to 1.9 million people who are not active in a faith community. KC Underground dreams of a disciple maker on every street and a microchurch in every network of relationships. Pete’s work directly contributes to that dream: bringing beauty, justice, and the Good News of Jesus into overlooked corners of our city.

How You Can Partner

To step fully into this mission in 2026, Pete is seeking to raise $25,000.

You can help by:

  • One-Time Gift – sow into the launch of this new season.

  • Monthly Partnership – 10 monthly gifts of $200 will help establish new communities of family, creativity, and whole-life restoration.

Every gift supports pastoral care, discipleship, and the emergence of new communities where Jesus is made known.

A Note from Pete

β€œMy Lord Jesus is calling me to a life of deeper devotion to Him through a smaller, quieter way. I believe Kansas City’s cultural landscape can be healed through families and artists working together as spiritual family. I’m inviting you to join me in this next season, so more lives, families, and neighborhoods experience the hope of Jesus.

In His love, Pete Kirwan
