Brandon and Courtney Kelly

Brandon and Courtney live near the main town square in a suburb of Kansas City. Recently, they felt called to be more intentional about planting the Gospel in their neighborhood. They decided that hosting a block party would be a great way to bring people out of their homes and into meaningful interactions.

With over 60 flyers in hand, they went door to door, meeting some neighbors and leaving flyers at the doors of others. God blessed their efforts, and nearly 50 people attended the block party! The event sparked many spiritual conversations and opened the door to deeper connections in their community.

Since then, Brandon and Courtney have started a Discovery Bible Study (DBS) with one neighbor, lent their car to help a single mom, and allowed neighbors to serve them in return. They also brought dinner to a neighbor fostering and adopting children, which led to that family joining them for dinner in their home.

Through intentional prayer and action, they are seeing beautiful relationships and spiritual conversations flourish. With neighbors already asking about the next gathering, Brandon and Courtney are excitedly planning another block party for next month.
