Your Kingdom Come

Today, as the Underground, we come together in prayer and fasting. Every great move of God in the Bible and throughout history begins with Extraordinary Prayer and Fasting. From the other side of eternity, we will find that the most influential people were not, perhaps, Presidents or Prime Ministers, but the people who walked with God through passionate prayer.

Strategic Focus: Your Kingdom Come

Today we pray as Jesus taught:

“...your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.”
Matthew 6:10

Your Kingdom Come With Hope

Read:

Let all that I am praise the Lord;
with my whole heart, I will praise his holy name.

Let all that I am praise the Lord;
may I never forget the good things he does for me.

He forgives all my sins
and heals all my diseases.

He redeems me from death
and crowns me with love and tender mercies.

He fills my life with good things.
My youth is renewed like the eagle’s!

Psalm 103:1-5

Reflect:

Spend time thinking of the hope that Jesus has brought you. How has he forgiven you? How has he redeemed your life?

Pray:

We pray that the same hope David writes of would be present in every soul in our communities. We pray Your Kingdom come because Your Kingdom is the hope of the world.

Your Kingdom Come With Justice

Read:

Learn to do good. Seek justice. Help the oppressed.
Defend the cause of orphans. Fight for the rights of widows
.

Isaiah 1:17

Reflect:

Take a few moments and ask God to highlight the injustice around you. Where is he asking you to step in? Where are the places and people we may have overlooked?

Pray:

That the Kingdom of God would bring justice to the unjust. That His people across the city would be Kingdom Builders of peace and prosperity to the places where our city has caused hurt and division.

Your Kingdom Come With Revival

When I think of all this, I fall to my knees and pray to the Father, the Creator of everything in heaven and on earth. I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.

Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. Glory to him in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! Amen.
