The Kellys

In 2016, God called us (Brandon and Courtney) to move to the Independence Square to raise a family and start a business.

The Historic Downtown Square was working towards revitalizing itself and we wanted to play a part in adding value to a city that would become our home. Renovating an old tire shop that had been in our family for over 50 years, we opened The Delaware, an event space + coffee shop.

Independence was the epicenter of the pioneer expedition that moved out west and created the future. Brave men and women left behind the familiar to create a future they saw with their imagination.

In Jeremiah 29, the Israelite nation was held captive in Babylon. We find them crying out to God to send them back home. In response, God tells them to build houses, plant gardens, and add value to the city. It’s like they were to live as if heaven had come to earth.

We believe the greatest cultural shifts take place when the church becomes awakened to the reality of heaven on earth. That our job is not to “fix” our culture, but to add value to it by creating the future that God places on our heart, for our cities and neighborhoods.

We are passionate about activating and equipping the church to reshape her impact on culture through the rhythms of Jesus.
